1. Scope and Customer Rights

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases from SaverBro Sdn. Bhd. unless separate written terms apply.

These Terms apply together with all rights and remedies available to customers under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 and other applicable Malaysian laws.

Where any conflict exists between these Terms and a non-excludable legal right, the applicable law will prevail.

2. Product Condition and Disclosure

Unless otherwise stated, laptops and devices sold by SaverBro may include:

  • Refurbished units
  • Trade-in units
  • Demo units

Such products may show normal signs of previous use.

Any important information including:

  • Known defects
  • Missing accessories
  • Battery condition
  • Cosmetic grading
  • Operating system limitations
  • Licence restrictions

will be disclosed on the product listing, invoice, warranty card, sales confirmation, or other written communication before purchase where applicable.

Customers should review the product description, condition notes, included accessories, warranty coverage, and price before completing a purchase.

3. Voluntary Warranty

SaverBro provides the voluntary warranty stated in these Terms. This voluntary warranty is separate from, and does not limit, any statutory rights that may apply to the purchase.

Unless otherwise stated, all laptops sold by SaverBro include:

1 Year Voluntary Warranty

Covers eligible hardware and software defects occurring under normal usage conditions.

Warranty Coverage

Item Coverage Notes
Laptop hardware and software 1 Year unless otherwise stated during purchase Excludes normal battery wear and tear
Battery functionality failure 1 Year Example: Device shuts down immediately when unplugged
Battery wear and tear 3 Months Example: runtime gradually reduces with use and age
Bundled charger adaptor and power cord 1 Year Included charger supplied with laptop purchase
Separately purchased charger 3 Months Purchased separately from laptop
Separately purchased accessories 1 Week Subject to inspection
Free gifts No voluntary warranty Unless required by law

4. Battery Clarification

Battery performance naturally decreases due to usage, age, charging habits, storage conditions, and workload.

Battery Function Failure

If the laptop immediately shuts down when disconnected from power, this is considered battery functionality failure and may be covered under the 1-year warranty.

Battery Wear and Tear

Gradual reduction of battery runtime is considered normal battery wear and is covered for 3 months only.

Battery Safety Issue

If a battery becomes swollen, deformed, or creates a safety concern:

  • Stop using the device immediately.
  • Do not attempt repair or modification.
  • Contact SaverBro for inspection.

If the issue is not caused by misuse, physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorized repair, unsuitable charger, or other excluded external factors, SaverBro will treat it as a covered battery functionality/safety failure within the warranty period.

5. Warranty Eligibility Requirements

Customers may be required to provide:

  • Original warranty card
  • Proof of purchase
  • Device serial number
  • Warranty sticker verification

For fraud prevention and inspection purposes, warranty stickers should remain intact on the bottom cover and side of the monitor, where applicable. The serial number should be readable and match SaverBro’s system records. If the serial number is unreadable or missing, SaverBro may use the warranty card or other reasonable proof to verify the purchase.

Warranty may not apply if the device shows:

  • Physical damage
  • Tampering
  • Unauthorized repair
  • Misuse
  • Improper handling

These requirements will not be used to deny any non-excludable statutory rights where the customer can reasonably prove the purchase and the issue is covered by applicable consumer law.

6. Covered Software Issues

The voluntary warranty covers the following software issues only if they are not caused by user modification, unauthorised repair, malware introduced after purchase, unsupported software installation, or customer misuse:

  • Windows corruption preventing normal boot
  • Driver conflicts affecting operation
  • Windows or Microsoft Office activation issues supplied by SaverBro

7. Warranty Exclusions

The voluntary warranty may be void or unavailable where the issue is caused by or connected with any of the following:

  • Physical damage (cracks, dents or impact damage)
  • Liquid damage
  • Missing components
  • Tampered, removed, or damaged warranty stickers
  • Unauthorized repairs, servicing, upgrades or modifications
  • Modified operating systems
  • Power surge damage
  • Unsuitable chargers
  • Environmental damage (moisture, excessive heat, or pest damage)

8. Warranty Claim Process

Customers should contact SaverBro Customer Service and provide:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Warranty card
  • Serial number
  • Description of issue

SaverBro may request photos, videos, remote inspection, or physical inspection of the device.

If the issue is confirmed to be covered by the voluntary warranty, SaverBro may repair or replace the item. Where Malaysian consumer law gives the customer a right to choose a remedy, including refund or replacement for a substantial failure, SaverBro will honour that statutory remedy.

If the claim does not meet the warranty eligibility requirements, SaverBro may offer a paid repair option or arrange collection or return of the device without repair.

9. Defective Goods and Legal Remedies

If a product is defective, unsafe, materially different from its description, not reasonably fit for a purpose made known to SaverBro, or otherwise fails to meet applicable consumer guarantees, SaverBro will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by law.

Depending on the nature of the failure and applicable law, remedies may include repair, replacement, refund, price adjustment, or compensation.

For a failure that can be remedied, SaverBro may repair the product within a reasonable time. For a failure that cannot be remedied or is of substantial character, the customer may have further rights under applicable consumer law.

10. Exchange Policy

The 3-day exchange policy is a goodwill policy for eligible non-defective exchanges. It does not limit warranty rights or statutory rights for defective goods.

Customers may request an exchange within 3 days from the date of receipt, collection, or delivery confirmation, provided the product is in original condition, all packaging, accessories, and documentation are included, and no damage, misuse, or unauthorised modification is found.

Eligible exchanges may be made for the same model or another model of equal or higher value. A top-up is required for higher-value models.

For voluntary exchanges to a lower-value model, no cash refund will be given unless SaverBro agrees otherwise. This does not apply where a refund or price adjustment is required by law.

Devices showing physical damage, misuse, unauthorised modification, or failure to meet warranty eligibility requirements may be refused for voluntary exchange.

11. Payment Terms

  • Store purchase: Full payment required unless otherwise agreed.
  • Online purchase: Full payment required before shipment.
  • COD availability depends on location and product.
  • Any instalment, financing, rental, credit sale, lease, trade-in, or bulk-order arrangement may be subject to separate written terms and applicable law.

12. Shipping and Delivery

SaverBro uses courier services including PosLaju or other selected courier providers.

  • Orders are generally shipped within 5 business days after payment confirmation.
  • Delivery estimates may change due to courier delays or circumstances beyond SaverBro’s control.

For approved warranty or defective-goods claims, SaverBro will inform the customer whether the device should be returned by courier or brought to a branch. SaverBro should state case-by-case whether return shipping is covered by SaverBro or the customer, depending on the claim type and applicable law.

13. Customer Responsibilities

  • Backup personal data before submitting a device for inspection, repair, exchange, or return.
  • Remove passwords and personal accounts where possible.
  • Use suitable chargers and accessories.
  • Handle the device with reasonable care and avoid physical damage, liquid exposure, extreme heat, and unauthorised repair.

14. Data Loss and Device Inspection

During inspection, repair, replacement, reset, or software troubleshooting, data on a device may be affected or deleted. Customers are responsible for backing up personal data before submitting a device.

SaverBro will take reasonable care when handling customer devices, but SaverBro is not responsible for loss of data except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Personal Data

  • Order processing
  • Warranty management

SaverBro may share relevant personal data with couriers, payment providers, service providers, repair partners, professional advisers, or authorities where reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Customers may contact SaverBro using the contact details below for privacy-related requests. SaverBro should publish or link a full Personal Data Protection Notice where required.

16. Online Seller Information

For online purchases, SaverBro should display clear seller information on the website or online marketplace, including company name, company registration number, contact information, product description, full price including delivery or other charges, payment methods, sale terms, warranty or refund terms, and estimated delivery time.

17. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights, guarantees, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under Malaysian law.

Subject to those non-excludable rights, SaverBro is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, business interruption, or loss of data.

Subject to non-excludable rights, SaverBro’s liability under the voluntary warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the covered item.
